Amica Lake Las Vegas Triathlon participants to cross finish line in The Village

WHAT:

The Village Lake Las Vegas is pleased to become the picturesque finish line for the ultimate triathlon. The Amica Lake Las Vegas Triathlon invites area athletes to bring their toughest competition in one of two triathlons. Participants can compete in the “Sprint,” which is a total distance of 19.7 miles including a ½ mile swim, 16.1 miles of biking and 3.1 mile run or the “Intermediate,” which includes a 1500 meter swim, 25 miles of biking and a 6 mile run.



WHEN:

Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010

6:30 a.m. – Sprint Swim Start*

6:45 a.m. – Intermediate Swim Start*



*Participants should be advised that the swim start and finish will be at the Loews Lake Las Vegas. The transition area will be located at the Loews Lake Las Vegas north lot. The bike course will leave the resort and go through the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The run will tour the resort and surrounding desert.
