Las Vegas Aces Host Benefit for Foster Care Kids in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Aces are hosting a toy and gift card drive as part of a season ticket member event at Aces headquarters in Henderson on Monday, Dec. 9. Benefitting the Clark County Foster Care’s GIVE JOY Toy & Gift Card Drive, all donations will go towards providing gifts to the more than 3,000 children who are in foster care during the holiday season.

 

Clark County Family Services works to protect children from abuse and neglect, and strives to build safe, nurturing families. There are more than 3,000 children in Clark County foster care on any given day. While nearly half can live with relatives, a significant number require traditional foster care placement. Currently, there is a need for at least 280 more foster homes to ensure children can avoid emergency shelters.

The Las Vegas Aces hope this toy drive will bring some holiday cheer to these children in need.

 

There will be an opportunity to speak with a foster parent between 5:30-7 pm about the needs of the Clark County Foster Care program, Denise Parker from Clark Family Services and Gus Arellano, Aces Vice President of Sales Development & Strategy.
