Bally’s Las Vegas Headliner Véronic Performed as June Carter With Las Vegas Cast
Last night (August 5, 2013) VÉRONIC Voices star, Véronic DiCaire, joined the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET onstage for a special guest performance at Harrah’s Las Vegas. Performing the voice of June Carter for the first time ever, the vocal impressionist sang a duet of “Jackson” alongside MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET cast member, Benjamin D. Hale, who portrays Johnny Cash in the production.
Immediately following the final number of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the one-woman vocal phenomenon joined the cast onstage for the Carter-Cash duet. Bringing two hit Las Vegas productions together in a unique, one-night-only performance, audience members clapped and sang along to “Jackson,” coming to their feet at the end with tremendous applause.
This was the first time a guest performer has been invited to sit in with the Las Vegas Company for an on-stage jam session. In Chicago and in New York, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET has rocked out with performers such as Melissa Etheridge, Kathie Lee Gifford, Lesley Gore and Jerry Lee Lewis.

In October 2022, Joseph Mario Castorena violated a protection order obtained by his ex-girlfriend, Jessica Serrano, by breaking into her family home in Aurora, Colorado. He fatally shot four family members while Jessica and her two children, who were present, managed to survive unharmed. Castorena fled the scene, sparking a months-long manhunt. He was captured in Mexico in December 2022 with the help of the FBI and local law enforcement and was extradited to Colorado in March 2023. After a nine-day trial in May 2024, Castorena was found guilty of four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder. He received four consecutive life sentences without parole and an additional 24 years for the attempted murder charge. During sentencing, Arapahoe County District Judge David Karpel condemned Castorena as an "insignificant, little man with a big gun" who used violence to exert control. The judge highlighted the severe impact of Castorena's actions on the victims' families, underscoring the brutality of the crimes. | Footage via Beyond Evil on YT | Posted by Thrillz |
