In Albuquerque, New Mexico, a courtroom hearing for Alexander Ortiz, accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend Alianna Farfan, descended into chaos when Farfan's uncle, Carlos Lucero, leaped over a barrier and attacked Ortiz. Lucero was soon joined by another man, identified as Pete Ysasi, in assaulting the defendant. Ortiz sustained facial injuries during the altercation. Following the incident, both Lucero and Ysasi were arrested and charged with assault and battery of a peace officer. Lucero reportedly told police that Ortiz "killed my niece like a coward" and that the attack "was worth every moment." Ortiz is accused of fatally shooting 20-year-old Farfan in her bedroom in January of the previous year. He is also suspected in the murder of another woman, Nicole Maldonado, which occurred a week later. This courtroom incident underscores the intense emotions surrounding such cases and highlights concerns about security measures within the judicial system. Court officials have acknowledged the need for increased security following this and other recent violent outbreaks | Posted by Thrillz |
