Mark Davis, has officially announced that Tom Brady, seven time Super Bowl Champion, has purchased the WNBA franchise; Las Vegas Aces. The first time Brady sat courtside at the teams May 31, 2022 game against the Connecticut Sun, he knew then that he wanted be a part of all the action. The energy that the Aces spew on the court is enough to make anyone fall in love at first sight.
Brady first announced his investment March 23 stating, “since I purchased the Aces, our goal has been to win on and off the court, Tom Brady is a win not only for the Aces, and for the WNBA, but for women’s professional sports as a whole.” Not to mention a win-win for Las Vegas.
He added, “I am very excited to be part a of the Las Vegas Aces organization,” added Brady at the time. “My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I would tag along to all my older sisters’ games—They were by far the best athletes in our house! We celebrated their accomplishments together as a family, and they remain a great inspiration to me.”
“I have always been a huge fan of women’s sports, and I admire the work that the Aces’ players, staff, and the WNBA continue to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes. To be able to contribute in any way to that mission as a member of the Aces organization is an incredible honor.”
If the Aces defeat the New York Liberty in the WNBA Finals, they will become the first team to win championships for two consecutive seasons in over 20 years. Game one of the WNBA Finals start Sunday, Oct. 8 at Michelob ULTRA Arena. Stay tuned for broadcasting options and game highlights here.
